Council Run Election
City of Penrith has chosen to conduct its own election.
On 27 June 2011, the Local Government Amendment (Elections) Act 2011 (the Act) was passed in the NSW Parliament. Section 296 of the Act enabled Councils to administer their own elections, Constitutional Referendums and Polls, or request the NSWEC to administer their elections.
